5. Cookies

Our website uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work:

• Session cookie — keeps forms, the verification code and signing in working while you browse, and lets us count visits. It is removed when you close your browser.
• Language preference — remembers whether you chose English or Arabic.
• Self check-out marker — on event days only, an anonymous code kept on the phone used for self check-out (for up to four months), so that one phone cannot check out several delegates.
• Remember this device — only for staff who choose it when signing in to the administration panel.

We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not use third-party analytics. Our own visit statistics store your IP address in a scrambled (hashed) form that changes every day, not the address itself. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some features, such as forms and signing in, may then not work.

6. Third-Party Services

Some pages show conference videos from YouTube. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube does not set its own cookies until you choose to play a video; once you play one, YouTube's own privacy policy applies. Our pages also use Google Fonts to display text, and may link to Google Maps for directions. These services have their own privacy policies, which are outside our control.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
